Justice Exchange

Justice Exchange – Connecting Across Prison Walls
Since 2012, the Justice Exchange project has built bridges between people inside and outside prison, creating spaces for dialogue, mutual aid, and shared learning. Through regular correspondence, we exchange stories and updates, while connecting people with support and resources. In this way, we learn about the struggles and creative solutions of those most implicated and impacted by the justice system.

Each exchanged letter is part of a wider vision of replacing disconnection and punishment with community, connection, and opportunities to learn, grow, and create. Grounded in principles of collaborative and community justice, our work challenges the barriers that keep people apart and imagines new ways of being in relationship, even across prison walls.
